InfoDump Headlines: <in world date and Headline> Appearances (in Publication Order): Astro City #14, 15 Event Timeline 2014/08     Current Ms. Ellie's nephew, Fred, makes an unannounced and mysterious visit to the Robot Museum. Ms. Ellie's Robot Assemblage History Several of the robots like Davey, Arthur, we know personally, but their is a much larger and extensive band of robots that Ms. Ellie has built (directly and indirectly). Some of them we have seen on panel, some are hinted at in the context of the story. But there are many more. Her influence in robotic design is so deeply and yet subtlety entrenched in computer manufacturing, we may never know just how much of today's advanced technical gear and gadgets are impacted. Early Development Period She took a shine to robotics at a very young age, quickly being identified as genius. She attended Oksner College in New Hampshire where she met and made a strong friendship with fellow student Vivian Vincentia Viktor. So it was a shock the day she woke up with a mind numbing device strapped to her head placed their by said friend. Vivi said it was a Somatic Mapper and she used it to probe and download the neural patterns within Ellie's mind with the intent of having a knowledge framework to use for future robotic designs and complex algorithmic programming. Surviving the Somatic Mapper Vivian also said the Mapper would destroy Ellie, but she was wrong. It was painful and did do damage, mainly to her memory and ability to focus. But she survived, while only working at a fraction of her mental capabilities, still managed to do advanced theoretical robotic design work that was superior to the commerical field at large.
